Writing is not for everyone and that is why we are here to help you with your written assignments!

About Written Assignments in IB

IB is a very challenging and time-demanding program. One of the reasons is the amount of additional written assignments IB DP students need to complete to attain their IB Diploma. Among the written assignments IB DP students need to write a 1600 words TOK essay, 2200 words Internal Assessment (IA) (for group 4 it must be a 6-12 pages long document) for every subject, and 4000 words Extended Essay in a selected subject.

IB written assignments are not only assessed based on the knowledge of the subject and the use of that knowledge. Students are also graded based on how well the essays are written and structured, how well they managed to communicate and convey the information and present their own personal reflections and engagement.

About IB TOK Essay, IA and EE Help

How we help with your written assessments:

Some students struggle with putting their thoughts on papers, structuring their assays and simply writing. We can help you with

  • Planning your experimental work in sciences and investigations in mathematics
  • Structuring your written assignments
  • Supervising the usage of appropriate subject-specific language and figures
  • Making sure the work scores high in every criterion
  • Givving feedback on already written drafts and suggestions on how to improve it
Important!
  • We do not write your written assignments for you!
  • We facilitate your work by providing suggestions and help.
  • Our goal is for you to learn how to write reports, essays and article to succeed on your future academic and career journey

How it works

  • To help you improve your IAs, EEs, TOK essays or even individual orals (IOs) we recommend purchasing the “Hello” or “Hello again” package, depending on the amount of work that needs to be done.
  • When it comes to written assignments, one hour is always taken by your tutor for offline work, such as reading your draft and writing comments. The rest of the time you use for working together on your drafts online or in person.
  • In terms of IAs the IB allows only one round of corrections by an IB teacher. Admittedly, such approach is not suitable for every student, as not every student perceives feedback in the same way. Our job is to not compromise the principles of IB but to enable students, who require a different teaching approch, to reach their full potential.

  1. IB Official Website: IBO.orgIt’s the official source for all IB-related information. This site has guides, syllabi, and specifications for each subject’s IA. Always start here to make sure you’re meeting official requirements.
  2. IB Survival: IB SurvivalThis is a forum where IB students around the world share tips, resources, and advice. You can see real questions from students and answers from both peers and IB teachers.
  3. ManageBacThat’s right, your ManageBack is one of those palces! It often has resources and tools to help structure and plan IAs.
  4. IB Prepared: This is a series of books published directly by the IBO, and there is one for each subject. Each book offers advice, examples, and tips for success in that subject.
